Many things have happened since I updated this BLOG.

Bali Beginnings. My first visit in August 2013

Silk painting and Doll making is great for your health !

In March 2013 I was approached to facilitate a Silk painting  workshop for The Souhern Carers  group organised by the Carer Respite Centre. this was attended by 8 carers who worked on their own painting on a silk panel and also on 2 group paintings on two larger pieces of silk.
It was a great day of creativity and enjoyment.

After attending a doll making and dance workshop November 2012 (Facilitated by Kat and Jenny Worth)  I was inspired to run a cloth doll making workshop in February and April at my studio in Flagstaff Hill.
Later in April I had the opportunity to demonstrate doll making with the Southern Carer's monthly group at McLaren Vale. People attended these type of workshops were pleasantly surprised what a mindful and healing experience the doll making can be. I plan to hold some more of these early next year.

Art Workshops in 2009

In February I had the opportunity to facilitate a 2 hour workshop for a smal group of women who had experienced domestic violence. The session allowed participants to explore mixed media techniques and culminated with the oportunity to paint on silk and create some "wearable art".

In March and April I facilitated four Art workshops for Carer Support and Respite Centre RAW ENERGY. The participants were children betwen the ages of 7 and 12.
The photographs below capture some of the art activities that the children took part in.

Stillness

Stillness is painted in oils which is a new medium for me. I really enjoyed that the fact that I had a lot of time to push the paint around before it dried which was a welcome change from working with acrylic paints.
